Swiss Herbalist
Alfred Vogel has generally been credited with introducing Echinacea
into the modern day cold and flu market. However, it was through
his friendship with Lakota Sioux Medicine Man Black Eagle that
he was made aware of the remarkable powers of this herb.
Today, Echinacea
is the number one selling herb in the world for cold and flu symptoms
- and for good reason! Unfortunately, many people have not been
made aware of what to look for when buying an Echinacea product.
The Echinacea that Alfred Vogel was shown by Black Eagle, and
that other Northern Plains Indian tribes use for fighting colds,
is the species known as Echinacea Angustafolia.
Unlike most companies,
Lakota does not use the Echinacea Purpurea or Echinacea Pallida
species because their Medicine Men, Healers and Elders believe
that the Purpurea and Pallida species are not as potent as the
Angustafolia species. Furthermore, Lakota uses ONLY the root of
Echinacea Angustafolia.
When treating cold
and flu symptoms Lakota combines Echinacea Angustafolia Root with
Larch Tree Extract. This combination, along with several other
exotic herbs used in the Original Echinacea Formula, produces
cold and flu fighting results far more potent than one can ever
hope to achieve by using Echinacea alone, or in other common combinations
like Echinacea and Goldenseal.
Larch Tree Extract
itself has been scientifically proven to be 3 TIMES MORE POTENT
than Echinacea and has been used by native people for hundreds
of years to treat infections and fight cold symptoms.
